Rostec creates company to build, sell large capacity gas turbines

MOSCOW, Feb 10 (PRIME) -- Russian state industrial corporation Rostec has created ODK – Turbiny Bolshoi Moshchnosti (ODK-Large Capacity Turbines), a subsidiary of Untied Engine corporation to make and sell a GTD-110M large-capacity gas turbine, as seen by PRIME late on February 7 in the materials of the State Unified Register of Legal Entities.

“This company will sell mass-produced GTD-110Ms to the customers as well as maintain and service GTD-110Ms throughout its lifecycle,” a Rostec representative told PRIME.

Russia currently does not produce gas turbines with capacities of higher than 110 MW. A joint venture of state nanotechnology company Rusnano, Rostec, and power holding Inter RAO has been working on the GTD-110M project for several years. In December 2019, Deputy CEO Rostec Vladimir Artyakov said that mass production of GTD-110M would start in 2020.
